Notes:

A DX designation means the lens is suitable for APS-C 1.5x-crop cameras. Lack of this designation means the lens can be used on FX (or full-frame) cameras such as the D3 and D700.
AF-S means the lens incorporates a silent wave motor (SWM) for auto-focusing. These lenses can AF on the D40, D40X and D60.
A VR lens has vibration reduction capability.
