Optional accessories and add-ons
The 200-400 f/4G VR II accepts filters with 52mm thread size, which means you’ll want to be looking at purchasing 52mm filters. Nikon also makes their own filters, namely C-PL1L 52mm Slip-In Circular Polarizing Filter, 52mm Screw-On Soft Focus Filter and 52mm Screw-On NC (Neutral Color) Filter.
