Sample photos
Full-sized, full-resolution Nikon D7000 plus 50/1.8G photos by Viktor Witkovsky. You can download the images, which I recommend that you do because they were shot in Adobe RGB and may seem rather dull in color when viewed in your browser — their full, vibrant color will come to life when viewed in a colorspace-aware image viewer such as Preview, Aperture and iPhoto on the Mac, or Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom on both Windows PCs and the Mac.
There are 5 official Nikon 50mm f/1.8G sample photos posted up on Nikon Imaging. Unfortunately, none of them are available at full-resolution, however, they are large enough for you to reasonably judge color, contrast and bokeh with.
Optional accessories and add-ons
The 50 F1.8G accepts filters with 58mm thread size, which means you’ll want to be looking at purchasing 58mm filters. Nikon also makes their own filters, namely 58mm Circular Polarizer II, 58mm Screw-On Soft Focus Filter and 58mm Screw-On NC (Neutral Color) Filter.
