Nikon D5000 References
The Nikon D5000 Digital SLR camera was announced on April 14, 2009.
The D5000 is the first DSLR from Nikon to feature a tilt-swivel LCD.

Remote terminal
The D5000 has the same accessory terminal as the one found on the Nikon D90, so you can use one or more of several remote shutter release options such as the MC-DC2 cable release / cord (and compatible release cables), Phottix Plato, Phottix Nikos and Phottix Cleon II.
