Phottix Plato Review
The Phottix Plato is a hybrid wireless / wired remote control that operates on radio frequency.
My review of the Phottix Plato covers its use with the Nikon D90, but the principles remain the same with any compatible DSLR (digital SLR camera).
An overview of the Phottix Plato is given in the video clip linked to below – just click on the thumbnail to view the footage in high quality mode on YouTube.
Alternatively, you can download the entire movie (63.8 MB) off drop.io (right-click and save to your hard drive).
Where to Buy
The Plato is sold on eBay, and some models are available on Amazon. You must choose the correct model that corresponds with the camera that you will be using it with:

Dear Sir,
Thank you very much for your video and review.
I am interested in a remote for the Nikon D700 camera body. Specifically, the Nikon D700 body. i understand that you used a D90 but it should be relatively similar with the D700, as you stated.
From what I can see, there are 3 models, of which the Plato seems to be the current "best" model. May I ask if the Plato is still very new (or "too" new) and it is difficult to tell if there are issues or problems with this model? Would I be better buying an older, lower model that has been sold many more times and is known to be really reliable? Or, has the Plato been sold sufficiently and in quantity to Nikon D700 users and you are certain that it is every bit as reliable as the lower 2 models that you also know aboutl?
Might you have another model/brand to suggest as a better remote? Thank you very much.
My location is in the USA. Zip code: 10012. May i ask approximately how long it will be before I will receive this?
Thank you very much in advance!
Happy Easter to you.

Hi,
I just purchase a phottix plato n10 for my nikon d5000 but I'm having trouble operating it. I have it all plug in and there are communications between the remote and the receiver. However, my nikon d5000 won't take a shot when i press the trigger on the remote. I tried using the remote only but it still wouldn't work. Please help!!!
