Last update (Apr 11, 2009): F200 noisy when in EXR AUTO mode? And best camera settings.

This page is a collection of Fujifilm FinePix F200EXR tips, tricks, techniques, camera settings and hacks by users and owners that I’ve across in forums, online communities, blogs and related websites.

Best camera settings for the F200

According to ChiSoxFan:

The fact remains based on many owner’s test shots (including ones I’ve done myself) that the best IQ and DR settings for this camera is P mode 400% DR at 6mp.

Note: IQ = Image Quality, DR = Dynamic Range.

On page 34 of the Fuji F200 manual, a note explains:

The camera focuses continuously, increasing the drain on the battery. The sound of the camera focusing may be audible.

Remove CA in Lightroom

Removing the CA (chromatic aberration) in Fuji F200 photos is a cinch if you have Adobe Photoshop Lightroom installed on your computer — read this short post on how.

For an example of an F200 photo with mild levels of CA, view the flag pole in this F200 sample image at DCResource.com (opens in a new browser window, or right-click to save to your hard drive).
