Optional accessories and add-ons
The 80-400 f/4.5-5.6G VR accepts filters with 77mm thread size, which means you’ll want to be looking at purchasing 77mm filters. Nikon also makes their own filters, namely 77mm Circular Polarizer II, 77mm Screw-On Soft Focus Filter and 77mm Screw-On NC (Neutral Color) Filter.
