Summarizing the various ways to get your sensor cleaned:

  1. Read up this superb web page on the subject of sensor dust by JimH. He does caution that the use of “low-tech” cotton swabs, and any method that requires contact with the sensor, goes against Canon’s recommendations. JimH also goes into further details on his experience with using cotton swabs.
  2. Get Canon at Irvine to do it
  3. Use the Giottos Rocket blower and Do-It-Yourself
  4. Use sensor swabs from Photographic Solutions or other brands.
