Shoot video with control over the lens aperture

Josh shares a trick for controlling the lens aperture while shooting footage (something the T1i won’t let you do in movie mode va the dials or settings).

The trick is to get around the auto-iris if you wanna shoot with a fast prime (I personally am using the Sigma 30mm 1.4). I’ve been setting my aperture in Manual Mode, and then rotating the lens ever-so-slightly so the connections aren’t being made with the camera. That way the lens stays wide open while you shoot and it only adjusts ISO.

Try it at your own risk.
