First published on: Sunday, 25 October 2009

Gathered here are links to tips and discussions on macro photography with the Nikon D80 — what equipment and lenses to use, lighting, technique and such.

  1. You are using the reverse lens method of macro photography with the lens reversed onto the camera via the Nikon BR-2A reversing ring, and are unable to get the SB-600 flash to fire. Solution: The flash mode must be set to manual on the Nikon D80.

  2. This article deals with the technique of using stacked lenses (similar to reversed lens) macro photography. Although written using the Nikon D70 digital SLR as an example, stacked lenses macro photography is equally applicable to the D80.
