This 14.1 MB PDF operating instructions handbook for the Panasonic LX3 should prove to be a fantastic read, all 210 pages of it — be sure to download it!
The DMC-LX3 owner’s guide is available in English Language and other European languages.
The user manual is titled “Panasonic DMC-LX3 Digital Camera Operating Instructions” (the 14.1 MB Acrobat document that I referred to).
If the direct link that I gave in the previous paragraph didn’t work, you’ll have to visit Panasonic UK, enter DMCLX3 in the search box, hit Search, and click the View icon next to the manual you wish to download. After accepting the site’s Terms of Use, which appears in a new window, click the View button to begin the download.
Alternatively, you can download the operating manual for the US version of the LX3 — English Language (37 MB) and Spanish versions (5.1 MB) are available there. The download experience on this site is more straightforward and you aren’t made to jump through any hoops.
Unlike Nikon, Panasonic allows you to print their manuals, but you are still prevented from copying portions of the content by means of a password protection mechanism.
The manual discusses the features of the LX3 and how to use the camera and describes the use and camera settings for several optional accessories. The page references are:
Page 169: Using conversion lenses (Panasonic DMW-LA4 Conversion Adapter and Panasonic DMW-LW46 Wide Conversion Lens)
Page 171: Using filters — the Panasonic DMW-LA4 Conversion Adapter is required.
Page 173: Using the Panasonic DMW-FL360 External Flash (GN36).
Page 175: Using the Panasonic DMW-VF1 External Optical Viewfinder
