Panasonic G1 Price & Availability Watch
The prices of most digital cameras trend downwards over time, and the same price drop should occur in the case of the Panasonic G1, the world's first Micro Four Thirds electronic viewfinder interchangeable lens digital camera.
I'm not planning for any scheduled updates, but do check back here from time to time for the best and latest prices and availability information on the Lumix DMC-G1 and accessories.
The G1 is sold in three colors: black, blue and red, and prices may vary between them.

Typical accessories and additional lenses for the Lumix G1
Panasonic DMW-MA1 4/3 Four Thirds Mount Adapter: $119.51. This is used to mount the full range of legacy Four Thirds lenses on the G1.
Panasonic DMW-BLB13 Battery (referred to as DMW-BLB13PP in the operating manual): $52.15. It's a good idea to get a second, backup battery for your DMC-G1. This way, you can be sure your camera continues to have a power source during extended shooting sessions.
Panasonic 45-200mm f/4.0-5.6 Lumix G Vario MEGA OIS Zoom Lens: $349.99. In 35mm terms, this lens goes into super telephoto territory with a 90-400mm reach.
For storage, the G1 uses SD or SDHC cards.
Refer to Rob Galbraith's SD / SDHC card write speed tests (done on a Nikon D90) to get an idea on the relative write and read speeds of different brands of cards. At the time of writing (Oct 29, 2009), the SanDisk Extreme III SDHC cards occupy the top two spots.
To ensure smooth recording of video and high resolution images, go for Class 6 or faster cards.
