The Panasonic FZ28 comes in two flavors – black and silver.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28K 10MP Digital Camera with 18x Wide Angle MEGA Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Black): $488.00 ($58.05 price increase since the last update).
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28S 10.1MP Digital Camera with 18x Wide Angle MEGA Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Silver): $459.99 ($129.96 price drop).
Some of the standard accessories for the FZ28 include:
- Panasonic CGR-S006A/1B Li-ion Battery: $36.33. Get a second, backup battery for your FZ28. This way, you can be sure your camera continues to have a power source during extended shooting sessions.
- For storage, the FZ28 uses SD or SDHC cards.
Refer to Rob Galbraith's SD / SDHC card write speed tests (done on a Nikon D90) to get an idea on the relative write and read speeds of different brands of cards. At the time of writing (Oct 29, 2009), the SanDisk Extreme III SDHC cards occupy the top two spots.
To ensure smooth recording of video and high resolution images, go for Class 6 or faster cards.
