Nikon P520 Manual

The Nikon P520 reference manual, a guide which discusses the features of the P520 and how to use the camera, is now online and ready to be downloaded.

Simply right-click or tap on the links below to save it to your device or view in your browser.

If the direct download links didn’t work for you, get the manuals from the official page for the P520 manuals.

The PDF isn’t password-protected, and you are free to print the entire manual or copy text from it.

The handbook provides very useful information to current or prospective buyers of the P520. For instance, macro shooters might be interested in the following measurements of focus range (subject distance from the center of the front surface of the lens) vs focal lengths at either extremes of the zoom range, found on page 235:

  • Normal mode: Approx. 50 cm (1 ft 8 in.)—-∞ (wide angle); 2.0 m (6 ft 7 in.)—-∞ (telephoto).
  • Macro close-up mode: Approx. 1 cm (0.4 in.)—-∞ (wide angle)

For your reference, the following information on standard and optional accessories have been extracted from the manual and the official Nikon P520 accessories page:

  • (Standard) AN-CP21 strap.
  • (standard) EN-EL5 Rechargeable Li-ion Battery.
  • (Standard) LC-CP24 Lens Cap.
  • (Optional) Battery charger MH-61 — Charging a fully-depleted battery takes just 2 hours with this charger compared to the 4 hours and 30 minutes you would need if charging the battery in-camera using the supplied Charging AC Adapter EH-69P and USB Cable UC-E6.
  • (Optional) AC Adapter EH-62A — Lets you power the P520 directly from an electrical outlet.
  • (Optional) Hand Strap AH-CP1.
  • (Optional) Wireless Mobile Adapter WU-1a — This unit plugs into the camera’s USB / Audio Video (AV) port, and connects via Wi-Fi (wireless LAN) to your smart device, allowing you to remotely release the camera’s shutter which captures photos that are immediately transferred to your device, or copy images off the memory card in your camera to your device. You would need to first install a downloadable Wireless Mobile Adapter Utility application on your device — at the time this product was announced, it was compatible with iOS and Android — see the official WU-1a page for details. It is this app which allows you to control the camera’s shutter, transfer pictures and video clips to your device, and instantly share and view them with family and friends.
