Nikon 18-200mm Gallery At Montreal Photo

Julien Roumagnac’s photoblog, Montreal Photo, has been mentioned many times in the forums at DPReview.com (one example).

An excellent gallery of Nikon 18-200mm photos at Montreal Photo, Photoblog of Julien Roumagnac

Not only is his artistic vision something to aspire to, but many found it a surprise that the majority of the images were taken with the “lowly”, “consumer class” Nikon 18-200mm VR lens.

This in meant in no way to take away from the superior image quality one generally gets with prime lenses and professional zooms, but it just goes to show how much our photography can be improved by training our “photographic eye”, and not necessarily by solely purchasing more expensive equipment.

At Julien’s site, click through the thumbnail to the photo post, and float your mouse cursor over the image. You’ll be able to see some basic EXIF data and lens information.

One of my favorites from his 18-200mm collection is Cienfuegos (Cuba) — I’d have to give an additional thumbs up for his post-precessing skills.
