Here is some information you need to know about the camera, and some additional resources to help you in your research.

Form factor: Pocketable digital compact camera with a fixed, non-interchangeable lens.

Sensor: Super CCD VII HR.

Resolution: 12 MP (megapixels).

Image stabilization? Yes, vibration reduction is achieved with the use of a CCD-shift, sensor-shift stabilization system.

Lens: Fujinon 35-105mm (in 35mm equivalent terms) 3x zoom lens with an aperture range of f/2.8 (wide) - 5.1 (telephoto). It's a little disappointing that the wide end of the focal length range doesn't begin at 28mm

Continuous burst rate: 2 fps (frames per second) at full resolution, and 5 fps at 3 MP.

Face Detection 3.0
Face detection on the F60fd

Read all about it here and view some flash animations. Fuji claims that 0.036 seconds is all that's needed for the camera to detect and track faces in the scene. Face detection also works in slideshow mode where the playback software automatically zooms in to the faces detected in the photo.

Pocketable enough?
You decide:
• Weight, without batteries - approximately 155 g (5.4 oz)
• Dimensions - approximately 92.5 x 59.2 x 22.9 mm (3.6 x 2.3 x 0.9 in.)

I never thought I'd say this, but I think these images are not as good as the official Panasonic FZ28 photos. The FZ28 has better "pixel definition" with less NR (noise-reduction) smearing going on.

But I really can't complain about the colors and tonality - they're excellent.

The photo of the red umbrella was shot at ISO 400. The other two were photographed at ISO 100. While the level of detail in the landscape photo is quite good, I'm not sure why the portrait sample doesn't impress me as much.
