SD790IS ISO800 Test Shots

Thanks to Ryank82 for posting these ISO 800 test photos.

He has just got his SD790 camera from Best Buy, where he bought it for $160 USD.

The only post-processing done to the images was a resize in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.

Ryan further comments on the build and design of the camera:

Thing is really small and feels like its built really good as well.

Joe Eitel, the reviewer, has the following conclusion for the SD790IS / IXUS 90IS at the end of the four-page review:

The actual photo quality of the PowerShot SD790 IS is incredible. In reality, the SD790 would be an average-or worse-camera if it were not for the great photos that it took. In every single aspect of photo quality, the SD790 has the very top rating (or close to it) among all of its competitors in the compact digital camera class. Fortunately for the SD790, photo quality is the most important aspect of a digital camera. The excellent marks of the SD790 in photo quality make it worth much more than its $300 price tag.

In summary, although the Canon PowerShot SD790 IS does not offer the absolute best in every category for its class, it does well enough in most of them. If you are looking for a middle-of-the-line compact digital camera that will produce photos with excellent quality, then you really cannot go wrong by picking this new Canon digital camera.
