Canon 40D at the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park

I’ve always admired bird shots taken with Canon equipment and visiting the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park gave me an opportunity to put the new 40D plus EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM to the test. It was quite a thrill for me to be able to capture some photos that look as if they were shot by the esteemed birding professionals (OK, I jest).

Here are two photos — clicking on them will bring you to the full-sized, unedited image. Photos shot in the portrait orientation were automatically rotated by DPP (Digital Photo Professional) when I selected the File > Convert and Save … (Ctrl-D) option. I used 10 for Image Quality and 350 dpi for the output resolution.
